Flagships of Mystic Seaport

With their tall masts and mazes of rigging, these vessels make a lasting impression, as does the little white steamboat moving silently past. The whaleship Charles W. Morgan, the fishing schooner L.A. Dunton, the training ship Joseph Conrad, and the steamboat Sabino- these are the flagships of Mystic Seaport.

This combination of historic ships, from whaleship to operating steamboat, is unique to Mystic Seaport. Three of them have been designated National Historic Landmarks. Representing more than 100 Years of seafaring, from the great age of sail to the revolutionary shift to powered ships, these vessels have fascinating stories to tell about America's ongoing relationship with the sea.
